PureVPN is based in Hong Kong and dates back to 2006. Some of the reasons why users choose PureVPN is to escape the threat of censorship, to have better online privacy, for complete anonymity, to avoid government monitoring and to access “blocked” TV and games. As the world changes, all of these features are becoming more and more important to users. PureVPN is all about “purity” of service and they work with over 50 servers in 13 different countries. The software can help users protect their real IP address and even change their country of origin.
Price
PureVPN offers three different levels of pricing. They have a standard plan, which costs $74.95 a year (or $9.95 per month), as well a golden plan that costs $145 a year (or $15 per month). These plans are dwarfed by the unlimited plan, which costs $18 per month or $160 per year. The unlimited plan offers unlimited bandwidth. The difference in price between the standard and golden plan is that the latter has dedicated IP hosting, while the former has only shared IP hosting. All plans have unlimited server switches at no extra charge, and this is a big deal, since other providers charge for server switches.
Countries
PureVPN is available in multiple countries and in several continents. Landmark locations include California, Las Vegas, Washington, New York, Miami, Sayreville, Maidenhead, London- UK, Kelowna in British Columbia, Montreal, Quebec, Bayern, Munich, Frankfurt, Bern, Switzerland and Amsterdam in the Netherlands. There are also servers in Stockholm, Sweden, Bucharest, Romania, Singapore, Steinsel, Luxembourg, Dublin, Ireland, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Panama, Australia & Turkey. The newly launched server is in France. Users can choose the country they want to be identified by. True, the number of servers the company offers is considerably less than other providers; however, few users have complained about this aspect.
Protocols
Because the companies does not work with open VPN, they offer less servers overall, only of the PPTP variety. The company also works with L2TP and IPSec VPN. Readers can surf the Internet and connect to any network with privacy, security and anonymity. This service even allows cable or WI-FI connections to take place securely. It doesn’t matter what Internet connection a user accesses; it makes secure transactions completely safe. The company has no restrictions on P2P or IRC chat.
Customer Support
The company does offer 24-7 support, but they do not offer it via telephone. Instead, they offer support in the way of email Q&A, remote desktop access (which allows the helper to access your computer or system), and a special live chat option. There is also a support ticket system, which is available in multiple languages thanks to Google Translate. Response time is fast and the company has received good review for its promptness and knowledge from staff members.
Money Back
PureVPN offers a money back guarantee, but it is only for a period of three days. If over three days pass after the initial order, then a refund is not given. This is a bit of a smaller time frame and it may put off some customers. The term is an unconditional refund. For what it’s worth, three days is probably adequate time to determine if the service is going to perform according to your expectations.
Traffic
PureVPN offers 30 gigs of bandwidth for its standard and golden dedicated IP plan. Thirty gigs may be enough for your online or network purposes. However, in the event that you need more bandwidth you can use the unlimited option. All of these plans allow privacy and no further restrictions.
Speed
Speed is not an issue with PureVPN according to its customers. Customers are allowed secure access at speeds above 40 Mbps. The company can also offer a 99.99% uptime rate and one Gbps in speed rate. There are no restrictions based on speed, as there are with ISP providers, who will cap certain types of traffic. You can count on complete freedom when you subscribe to PureVPN technology.
Supported Devices
The company allows users to access iPod, iPad and iPhone mobile units. Other supported hardware devices include the Android, Nokia and Windows Mobile system, as well as Boxee and DDWRT router. Users can watch videos, surf or inhabit social media sites without the threat of censorship, monitoring or invasion of privacy. This has become a recurring issue as of late, with the growing popularity of social media sites. You can also use Skype and VoIP phones with VPN.
Supported OS
Windows, Windows 7 and Windows Vista works just fine as does Mac OS X. Linux (Fedora and Ubuntu) is also supported. This means that practically any online device can access PureVPN’s options.
Free Trial
The company offers their software on a trial basis. However, this option costs $2.50. In exchange, users get total access to the system for three days. This is certainly a much more preferable option than investing a full purchase of a yearly package. Of course, the $2.50 is not refundable. Besides this, the company is also offering a three-day refund promise, should the customer be unsatisfied with the system. Naturally, the refund process is more complicated than simply requesting a trial period for the price of a milkshake.
Other
Another strong point, as you can see in this PureVpn review, is payment methods which include credit cards (Master Card, Visa, American Express), as well as PayPal and 2CO. Other accepted methods are Western Union and AlertPay. The company offers 128-bit encryption, which is more than adequate for most uses. The only downside to the company is perhaps its lack of servers, though few customers complain about this matter. The 128-bit Strong Encryption makes it so that even your own ISP cannot spy on you. This is the highest level of security available to man, and it is made possible from advanced encryption techniques and complex authentication protocols. Another benefit is that you can get full speed and unfiltered Internet access even in countries where sites are blocked, such as Asia and the Middle East. If you are sure of what you need and are not going to be bothered by a short refund period, then you will be satisfied with PureVPN.

PureVPN Customer Reviews (14)
All together a good provider. On some servers I notices a slower speed but overall recommend it. Their support is fast and helpful. Try them, won’t regret it.
stay away from this fraud.
they promise a 3 day money back guarantee.
i ordered based on that and when it did not work, they blamed me as a customer and refused to pay my money back.
you have been warned
Have a stable UK VPN but thought I’d give these guys a try. Bought 3 month subscription, tried thoroughly for 1.5 days. No session of UK TV viewing was successful for an entire program = always had dropouts and spinning balls. Each time, I turned off PureVPN and went to my usual VPN with no subsequent problems.
I asked for termination and refund, per what I thought was a 3 day money back policy. Well, the above reviewer is correct. They refused to honor that, instead wanted to go on and on getting me to help them figure out what the problem is. I don’t care what their problem is! I just know they have one and a long relationship of helping these guys figure it out isn’t what I signed up for.

PureVPN has been great in terms of reliability, performance, and support. All support questions were answered expeditiously with solutions and their performance is unmatched. Their mobile and desktop apps make it painlessly easy to get up and running in minutes.
Outstanding service!
What an amazing service I just got. My parents are in Iran and their internet is filtered. Unfortunately they’re not tech-savvy either so setting up vpn is a hard task for them, let alone doing so when the purevpn website itself is blocked. but dmitry ivanov went the extra mile and connected to their machine using remote desktop and set everything up for them and now my mom can go back on facebook and post my baby pictures
honestly it took him an hour to do this. i’m so very thankful.
